Today proved that a little rain can’t keep Dallas ladies from looking their very best. Starting at 9:45am hundreds of glamorous guests dressed in sheaths, furs, and lots of red and pink arrived at The Meyerson Symphony Center in the Dallas Arts District.

The 2013 chairs, Maggie Kipp, Angela Choquette, and Paige Slates (above), shook things up this year by moving the event from the Anatole Hotel to the Meyerson Symphony Center. The new location set the perfect pitch for a moving presentation by the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and a sophisticated fashion show produced by Jan Strimple.

We couldn’t be prouder of our very own Stanley Korshak President, Crawford Brock, who received the Lynda Adleta Heart of Gold Award presented by Ellen Tracy for his commitment to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and many other local causes.
The highly anticipated “Heartstrings” fashion show featured “The Best of Stanley Korshak” and Monique Lhuillier’s Spring Collection. As the first and largest Dallas fashion show of the Spring Season, the St. Valentine’s Day Fashion Show always sets the stage for what Dallas women should be wearing this season.

Last Thursday The Bridal Salon at Stanley Korshak hosted a breathtaking Romona Keveza fashion show and bridal event. The event started with a cocktail hour in Hakim Sons Film Studio, complete with antique roses by Todd Events, hors d’oeuvres, and bubbly.

Following the cocktail hour, everyone took their seats in the Garden Room at Rosewood Crescent Hotel to have a glimpse into Romona Keveza’s newest bridal and formal gown collection.

The fashion show commenced with a parade of timeless white wedding dresses set to the recognizable track from Downton Abbey, evoking memories of the hit show’s two recent weddings.

Themes included lace, beading, and hues of mint in a variety of shapes and lengths. A few of the models even adorned vintage tiaras by Fred Leighton, finishing the ultimate bridal looks.

The fashion show also featured bright colored formal gowns perfect for the mother of the bride or groom. Bold blues, yellows, emeralds, and reds were a spectacular sight in all silhouettes coming down the runway.

Romance was in their air during the finale of the show, where one of the models, donning a mint princess gown, received her very own fairy tale ending – a surprise proposal!

She said yes! The entire room was filled with even more excitement and joy as the newly engaged couple celebrated their new beginning.

After the proposal, the crowd moved to the Bridal Salon where the celebration continued with more champagne, wedding cake from Dallas Affaires, and a meet-and-greet with the designer herself. Cheers!
